Home / Why us Why Yorkshire VoIP

Phones run by the people who run the IT.

We're not a box-shifting reseller with a call centre in another county. Yorkshire VoIP is a service of 2plus1.com PC Services — a West Yorkshire managed IT provider that's been looking after local businesses since 2004.

Local and accountable

Based in West Yorkshire since 2004. You get a team you can actually reach, who understand local business and pick up the phone — not a ticket queue and a call-centre script.

Nothing on your premises

Fully hosted in the cloud. There's no phone-system box to buy, house, or maintain — and no single point of failure sitting in your comms cupboard waiting to fail on a Friday afternoon.

IT-backed, not box-shifted

Your phones and your IT come from one experienced team, so your network, broadband and handsets are set up to work together properly — and when there's a question, one call covers it.

Grows without rewiring

Add or remove extensions as your business changes. No engineer callout to pull new cable — a new seat is a quick configuration change, not a project with a lead time.

Supported, not sold

We set the system up for you and configure it to how you actually work. You're not handed a login to a self-serve portal and left to figure it out — we do the fiddly bits.

Secure by design

Handsets provision over encrypted connections and credentials are never left sitting on the phone. The security thinking that goes into your IT goes into your phones too.

Common questions

Straight answers before you switch.

Do we need to buy a phone system?
No. It's fully hosted — there's no on-site box to buy, house or maintain. You just need desk phones (or a softphone app) and an internet connection. We supply and pre-configure the handsets.
Can we keep our existing number?
Yes. We port your existing number(s) across and manage the switchover so calls don't drop. You carry on advertising the same number you always have.
What happens if our internet goes down?
Because the system is in the cloud, we can automatically divert your numbers to mobiles or another destination if a site loses connectivity — so calls still get answered while your line is being sorted.
Can staff work from home or across multiple sites?
Yes. Any extension works anywhere there's internet — a home worker or a second office is just another extension on the same system, on a desk phone or a mobile app.
How much does it cost?
It depends on how many people need phones and how you want calls handled, so we quote it properly rather than pushing a one-size package. Tell us a little about your business and we'll put a clear, itemised price in front of you.
Which handsets do you use?
We work with quality SIP desk phones — the Polycom VVX range is a popular choice — as well as softphone apps for mobiles and laptops. Whatever the handset, it arrives pre-configured and provisions itself.
